The Rotor Turning Gear is a multi-turbine tool which is installed inside the nacelle, at the gearbox high-speed shaft (HSS) interface. It enables controlled rotation of the hub under both balanced and unbalanced rotor conditions.
The rotor turning gear is supplied with turbine-specific interface kits to enable operations on different turbines. This tool can be used onshore and offshore (with specific modification required for offshore operations). The compatibility matrix lists the currently available interface kits; Additional interfaces can be developed upon request.

The Rotor Turning Gear can be supplied with:

• Upgrade Kit - for turbines which require supplementary motors in addition to the two motors that are included in the base kit.
• Rotor Lock – mechanical locking system for high-speed shafts.
