Liftra Expands in Denmark with Acquisition of Additional Facility in Aalborg

As demand for Liftra’s innovative solutions continues to grow, Liftra is expanding its operational footprint in Aalborg, Denmark, following the acquisition of an additional facility at Fåborgvej 17 in July 2026.
Growing Demand for Liftra Technologies
The new facility consists of almost 10,000 m² of industrial buildings on a 43,000 m² site. Located close to the Port of Aalborg with easy access to the motorway, the facility will provide additional capacity to support Liftra’s growing activities and the continued scaling of our Self-Hoisting technologies.
By creating additional space for production and related activities, the expansion will support more efficient workflows and provide a strong foundation for future growth.

The expansion is supported by funding through the Danish Green Industrial Production Investment Scheme, “Investeringsordningen til Grøn Industriproduktion”, administered by EIFO. The program aims to strengthen Denmark’s production capacity within green technologies, with EIFO co-financing 15% of the eligible costs associated with Liftra’s expansion.
The investment also strengthens Liftra’s position in Aalborg, where access to industrial facilities, port infrastructure, engineering expertise and specialized suppliers provides favorable conditions for our continued growth and development of innovative technologies for the global wind industry.
Event Venue for LT1500 Full-Scale Demonstration
The new facility was put to the test on September 21, when it served as the venue for the Full-Scale Demonstration of the Liftra LT1500 Installation Crane, bringing together more than 350 customers, partners and industry colleagues.
Both the event and the facility proved to be a great success, with a well-executed demonstration of the crane and a great atmosphere throughout the day.
“The LT1500 Full-Scale Demonstration was an important milestone for Liftra, and being able to host the event at our new facility made the occasion even more special. It was a great first opportunity to put the site to use and bring customers, partners, and industry colleagues together. A lot of work went into preparing both the demonstration and the venue, and ww were very pleased with how everything came together. It was a successful day for the LT1500 and a great start for our new facility at Fåborgvej,” says Per Fenger, CEO of Liftra.
